Our tour starts at Reißigerplatz in Königstein near the local train station. You can get here by S-Bahn from Dresden or Bad Schandau. Take the bicycle bus 242 or 246 uphill in the direction of Rosenthal-Bielatal. In between, you can get off at Leupoldishain, Nikolsdorf, Cunnersdorf and Bielatal.In Rosenthal there are several bicycle bus stops - the further we go, the more metres in altitude we save. You can get off at the village square or Mühlsteig, for example. Then we dive into the forests of Rosenthal and after a short distance we reach the Fuchsteich. This pond was built more than 400 years ago to float logs across the Cunnersdorfer Bach or the Biela towards the Elbe. Water was dammed up here for this purpose. This variant of the Three Ponds Tour takes you from Königstein to Rosenthal on all public holidays and weekends between April and October with the bicycle busses/FahrradBUS of lines 242 and 246, where you can roll along the Saxon-Bohemian border with its rock worlds and forests to the Elbe. The Bicycle buses run on all public holidays and weekends from 1.4. to 31.10. They can transport up to 16 bicycles at a time. The transport of e-bikes is no problem. Your advantage: Overnight guests with the Gästekarte mobil only have to buy a bike ticket. This is possible with the bus driver.
