The starting point is the Porschdorf bus stop or the car park at Polenztal in Porschdorf. This is where our trail (blue line) begins into the Tiefen Grund. The path winds along the Tiefen Grundbach stream, sometimes up a little and then down again to the stream. Later we turn left and hike (blue line) up the fire steps. About 850 steps and 150 strenuous metres of altitude lie between the Tiefen Grund near Porschdorf and the rock plateau high above. This area has been called the "Brand" since the plateau, along…
